The SymplyPRO LTO-XTF Desktop LTO Drive utilises a robust and stylish metal alloy enclosure. It's not only rugged, it's compact and features a premium whisper quiet fan and power supply designed for years of trouble-free service. This desktop model features two Thunderbolt 3 ports for daisy-chaining, with one providing 60W fast device charging. The SymplyPRO LTO-XTF desktop also includes SAS expansion and SAS host connections in case you need to link other SAS devices to your Thunderbolt computer or use it with a non-Thunderbolt enabled workstation. The SymplyPRO LTO-XTF also features a single full-height LTO-9 tape drive with speeds rated at up to 400 MB/sec.

The SymplyPRO LTO-XTF supports the Linear Tape File System (LTFS) for simple drag-and-drop file operation similar to a conventional hard drive. LTFS can reduce the need for backup or archive software and allows users to easily interchange data using LTO cartridges or copy data to and from an available storage device, such as an HDD or SSD. While SymplyPRO LTO-XTF hardware is a step above, the included feature-rich SymplyATOM (Advanced Tape Operations and Management) software makes operation and maintenance easy. SymplyPRO LTO-XTF is also certified for use with popular backup and archive utilities for macOS and Windows including YoYotta, Hedge Canister, XenData, and Archiware P5.
