The Atomos A-Eye HD-20X is a compact PTZ camera designed for classrooms, conference rooms, and live-streaming spaces, delivering sharp HD up to 2K60 (2048 × 1080). With 20x optical and 16x digital zoom, it offers AI-powered auto-tracking, eliminating the need for a camera operator. Outputs include HDMI, 3G-SDI, USB-A 3.0, and IP, with NDI|HX3 for high-quality low-latency streaming over networks.


Camera Performance and Resolution
Equipped with a 1/2.8" CMOS sensor and 2.07 effective megapixels, the camera delivers clear full HD visuals suitable for live events, training videos, or online conferencing. The 2K60 resolution ensures smooth, high-detail capture even in dynamic settings.


Zoom and Control
The built-in lens provides 20x optical zoom for close-ups without quality loss, and 16x digital zoom for extra reach. It can be remotely controlled over IP or RS-485, with support for UVC and VISCA protocols. Perfect for switching angles during presentations or lectures.


Connectivity Options
Multiple output formats are supported including HDMI, 3G-SDI, USB-A 3.0 (video only), and IP for flexible integration into existing systems. The camera includes a license for NDI|HX3, enabling efficient, low-latency streaming over standard networks.


Audio Input and Integration
In addition to a built-in microphone, the camera offers 3.5mm stereo audio input and output, allowing users to embed external audio directly into the video stream.


Compression and Streaming Efficiency
Video is compressed using H.265, H.264, or MJPEG codecs, helping reduce bandwidth while maintaining image quality during streaming.


Power Options
Power the unit via included DC adapter or PoE+ (Power-over-Ethernet), simplifying installation where cabling is limited.
