c3Presence-main Videocraft were appointed the 2015 Broadcast Supplier for the C3 Church Presence Conference held over one week at the Qantas Credit Union Arena in Sydney. It was a complex setup with 14 camera sources, 22 channels of EVS and effectively six vision switchers feeding the extensive i-mag setup as well as recording for later editing. Andy Liell said, “The HDC-2400s are a big leap forward in image quality. The very low noise performance of these cameras contributed to significantly improved pictures in the lighting conditions we encountered at the conference.” C3_Presence_1 Videocraft Engineering team for C3 Church Presence Conference

The system was designed by Videocraft’s engineering team and built onsite across 3 key areas: Videocraft’s Mobile Production Centre was configured as the Camera Control Unit production space for four CCU positions. Alongside was a site shed containing the system backbone including the extensive EVS and Avid ISIS 7000 systems. The external master control room was built in the back dock of the QCU Arena, utilising the latest in IP technology to minimise connectivity between these locations.

Also on Site were six edit suites connected to an Avid ISIS 700 storage system being fed 20 streams in real time from the EVS server systems for onsite editing of replay packages and web content.

Conference broadcast director Simon Ashby said “Once again Videocraft proved that they are the only broadcast provider capable of delivering a turnkey solution to meet the requirements of the conference. The engineering team on site were first class, and nothing was too much trouble. The system was ready to go well ahead of schedule and the Videocraft team graciously accommodated the inevitable last minute requests. To me that reinforced Videocraft’s deep understanding of our requirements based on 3 years of providing this tailored solution. Of particular note this year was the stunning performance of the new Sony HDC2400 cameras. They gave us a tangible improvement in image quality this year, and we were honoured to be the first customer to use them”
